ChapsVision
Paris, France
I spent six months at ChapsVision, a company that builds AI-powered software for analysing large amounts of data. I worked in the team responsible for natural language processing, helping to build a tool that automatically gathers publicly available information about a person or organisation (from an email address or username) and turns it into a clear, structured report, using workflows. Over the placement, the project grew from an early prototype into a more complete, user-friendly application that the company's analysts use as part of their daily work.
I designed and built the core pipeline that collects data, lets analysts review and select the information they want to keep, and then generates a written report from it. I also worked on the application's user interface and on making it easier for other developers to add new data sources in future without needing to rewrite core code. Later in the placement, I contributed to a new chatbot feature that lets users build automated workflows just by describing what they want in plain language.
Python programming, building and testing software pipelines, working with APIs, using large language models within an application, and front-end development.
Project management, adapting to changing requirements, working independently while knowing when to ask for help, communicating technical work to non-technical colleagues, and writing clear documentation for other people to use.
